My contribution to the Valdez lab consists of managing our animal colony, performing necessary genotyping, and keeping our lab organized and in optimal condition to conduct groundbreaking research. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Medical Laboratory Science I began working in the healthcare industry and became very interested in research, which eventually led to my work in the Valdez lab. I hope to continue making contributions to this incredible laboratory and I look forward to seeing what new discoveries are made. I plan on pursuing a career in public health and I am very passionate about providing healthcare for all.
